W203 display stays on!

Hi folks,

i've just realised that my cars display stays on even after i turn the car off and lock the doors! I noticed that it had stayed on a few days ago, but thought it might switch off after a minute or something. But now i realise it doesn't turn off, even after a few hours! I last drove the car on friday and this morning the car battery had died. I went out straight away and bought a brand new battrery to replace it. Now i realise though it's the display that's draining it!

Can anyone help?

Yes.

I suspect the cluster is duff. Remove it and disconnect the power for 10 mins and see if that helps.
