Hi, i have had the issue of struggling to start at most times so checked the clear plastic pipes(all new last year) and swapped the rubber washers for new green MB ones - no help.

So i've just done a quick leak off test with the plastic bottles and found inj no4 (nearest the bulkhead) spewing fuel out on turn over. The other 3 hardly leaked a drop.

I guess i need a new injector?

The injectors are the type with a large number (2)in a circle. Can i just find another with the no (2) and replace?

I have attached a picture of mine (no leakoff pipe)and a possible match to buy.

Can anyone confirm they are ok to swap please?

Thanks Mark

You should check EPC that part number is suitable (there seems to be a difference). And yes if you buy '2' numbered injector no coding needed (its not 100% there is coding at all)

Thanks, but I don't have access to a EPC!

Anyone check for me please?:thumb:

Many thanks for your reply. It looks like I will be swapping these over. :thumb:

No prob.

But.......

Make sure a new MB sealing washer (crush type) is fitted and the injector clamp bolt is replaced and fitted correctly.

There's plenty of threads about replacing these parts and the method applied to getting it done right.

:)

Will do. I have replaced one before when i had the black death! Still have a pot of 'special' grease so just need the washer and bolt.
