My nearside headlight adjuster doesn't seem to work - it turns, but with no movement to the light. It was a close call on the MOT and the tester tried to adjust it with no luck.

The light pattern is now looking too high.

The question is: can the adjuster be replaced/fixed? As I don't fancy replacing the unit.....

If the internal adjuster is broken then I don't think it can be repaired (I have one for me W210 in the same condition)

They are not too expensive used

As above, if you have Xenons (oem) then there should not be a manual adjustment inside the car as it should be based on the auto leveling system.

Hi,
My 2001 C320 has factory xenons but there is nothing inside the car to adjust them, the car does it by itself when they turn on.

Sorry to clarify, by internal adjuster I meant the mechanism inside the headlamp that moves when you turn the adjuster on the unit. I am sure they are just cogs and hence can break with little force

So back to my original question - Can these adjusters be fixed/replaced?

I called at my local indy yesterday. They said they'll have to remove the headlight to look at it....
