Bought this kit off Ebay, and came sealed and complete with wiring for the sensors (common-rail sensors, quantity control valve, injectors, boost pressure and temperature) and the two boxes (control unit and injector module) + a 10 page fitting instructions.

All in all a fairly straightforward installation (removing the injector connectors was a royal PITA, though!) except the final step: connecting to the temperature sensor, which has me stumped:

According to the instructions the temperature sensor is near the gearbox and oil pan screw, and measures the DPF temperature. I assume that this means having to remove the underbody plastic covers but as I don't have a lift or ramps, I would need to take it to a garage for this part.

Anyone care to hazard a guess if the car can be driven (haven't tried to start it yet) without the temperature sensor connected or would I need to get some ramps and try to have a go at this?

Just a update: I did drive the car without the temperature sensor connected and it drove and felt like normal. Having contacted Brabus I was informed that there would be no power increase without the sensor connected and that I would most likely get an error message (which I didn't get - yet).

This evening I finalised the install, having finally access to some ramps that gave the necessary clearance to remove the front and middle underbody plastic covers. Once removed it was immediately clear where the temperature sensor is, completely in line with the instructions from Brabus.

Didn't have time to drive the car tonight, but hope to report back tomorrow with tales of increased performance. If anyone else are planning to install this kit, I have a few tricks that make it easier, so happy to help.

My Brabus box connected to the sensors on the top of the engine, seems a bit of a ball-ache to be getting ramps out...

Completely agree, but this is on a W204 - and even having read the instructions before starting the instal I didn't spot this "minor" detail! Anyway, it is done, and I have the scraped knuckles and various cuts to prove it... ;)

I think the D3 kit it is simplier... This D3S has two box :) Just one question: what is the quantity control valve? the remain sensors are known from the several kinds of tuning box, but i don't know what is the sensor of the quantity control valve!
