Cracking job. Which paint did you use?
Sorted for another year
Cracking job. Which paint did you use?
Did you seal the floor before using this grey paint, and what did you use? Also, how did you apply? Thanks for the compliment . Paint is nothing special, think I got it from B&Q , cheapest I could find. A 5 litre tin will do the whole floor a couple of times over. I’ve used 2 pack epoxy in the past , 3 x the cost and hot tyres still pulled the paint off First time I parked on it , and the floor was prepped and sealed first. ☹ The cheap rubber mats work a great and stop hot tyres sticking.

Much appreciated thank youI sealed another garage which had new concrete , can’t remember what though. The garage floor In the current house had been painted years before I moved in , the walls hadn’t. When I first did it I scraped it , sanded and what ever to get it rid of anything loose Paint. I Mopped numerous times to get as clean as possible. I use Isopropyl to clean any oily bits. I used to use a roller but now just a 6 inch brush. Painting half the garage takes less than an hour getting it ready half a day ☹ . I know repaint once a year and it’s ready for the car going back in within 24 hours if the weather is warm.
what did you use to get the tips like that mate?

Soft(ish) wire wool , Autosol , old tee shirts for rags, plenty of elbow grease and Lots of patience. Up close they are pitted on the bottom edge but not as bad as most. I clean them every time I wash the car and it’s a few minutes. Getting them back was several hours.
Didn't see that coming!
The new owner is very lucky with all the work you put in. Maybe the answer is to simply rent some fancy cars on the odd occasion using the money saved on not maintaining the C63. Then you get to experience a wider variety. Plenty of clubs/schemes available.
Hope you don't miss it too much.
Having spent time in lockdown thinking about what’s really important and most enjoyable for me I’ve sold the C63 and will concentrate on cycling for the foreseeable future. Having a car in the garage that does less than half the mileage of my bikes, and only gets used occasionally, didn’t make any sense (but when did any AMG make sense).
As I’m no longer a car owner of any description I won’t be organising any more meetings, but I’m sure I’ll bump into people I’ve met on the MBCLUB forum from time to time. I’ve no idea what my next car will be or when I’ll be acquiring one, it may be a mother MB or “something completely different”, only time will tell.
Keep well, and keep safe
