F13 M6.....for now
Hopefully someone can help, I am looking for the pin out positions for cruise control on a W204 C220CDi 2010 (OM651).

I am hoping that I will find the wiring connected to these pins, which means retro-fittings CC will mean buying the hardware, and re-programming ECU/Ins cluster with STAR.

Thanks in advance.

You would be looking at some CAN-bus pins from the ECU, you do not need to touch those to get CC (I did not know CC was an option, is it an option for manual trannies?).

Yes CC is standard in auto's but an option for manuals.

Being CAN-bus, does that mean if I fit the column stalk for cruise, it should work provided I get it enabled by STAR?

Logically that sounds right to me, but there may be different modules involved that contain the capability, it could be, that you would have to replace an existing module with another in order to apply the extra coding, on the other hand it could be more straight forward as you have explained.

I would advise you to contact Richard/Alfie to get a definitive answer, they are on here sometimes.

Thanks for that, hopefully they will find this thread as I can't PM due to post count just yet :)

The CC stalk is read by the steering column module control unit that would be present in the car in any case. I did not check if there are different control unit versions, unlikely those that would not be able to read the stalk. Then the question would be to code the car properly, if MB allows this feature being coded afterwards.

You should find Comand Online "public" email address from their contact info or web site, no need to rely on PM if you don't want to wait till PM is allowed.

Thanks for the advice, I will contact them.

The coding should be OK, as I have heard of older MB's retrofitting CC. I understand it needs to be done with STAR online, I assume this is via MB.

Just got a reply back from COMAND ONLINE.

They say I will need the switch pack and cowling (Hardware)

Then using a STAR machine the car will need it's data card upgrading, and the SCN re-coding to enable the cruise function.

Sounds easy enough, so will look into buying a switch pack from a breakers. :)
