W204 Grille

Hi,

Im considering changing my w204 grille for the coupe grille however not sure if this is a straight swap. any help on this would be great also if anyone has done anything different with their front grille a picture would be great of what you have done.

W204 is a saloon. The coupé is C204.

Do you mean the sport grille, elegance grille, etc? Those are independent of coupé or saloon, but are interchangeable.

What i meant is the grill from the C204 only has 2 slats going across it whereas the saloon W204 has 3 and i was wondering if the coupe grille would be a straight fit onto the saloon

Straight swap, make sure the T bracket comes with the grill. I did mine

I'm thinking of changing mine too, I quite like the look of the black one with the 2 chrome slats and chrome star. I'm pretty sure they are all interchangeable, not sure on facelift as the part of the bumper beneath the lights is slightly higher than the pre facelift

I purchased an after market one off E-Bay, according to the box it fits all models - Saloon, Estate, and Coupe.

Hi there. I changed my w204 grill with the three slats for a face lifted coupe grill and fits perfectly as long as you change the fixing bracket at the top as they are different sizes. You can get the bracket from Merc for about £8.

Like Venomous, I fitted a C63 Style Grill to my w204 Amg saloon and it looks great bit the fitment is shocking. Doesn't sit flush, doesn't actually clip in proper on one side...and a bigger gap one side than the other. Do you have that problem Venomous? I liked your old grill.

I wanted a genuine C63 grill but I have heard they don't fit my car as they are a 2 piece?

The two piece bit would mean as the bonnet is different, there's a piece connected to the bonnet also I think. Could that piece not fit the regular w204 bonnet i wonder? They're the same bonnet just be c63 version is more aggressive looking
