Hi folks,

Need your help. Car has given me the message bulb failure left mirror so need to replace the bulb. Now being an MB W204, 2008 model I'm sure there are some gotchas on this.

1. Which bulb do I need?
2. Is this a DIY job? if so need help on instructions.
3. If not DIY suggestions please?

Thanks,
Kamal

Wow - no replies or comments on this so here goes on the conclusion...

1. Spoke to Wayne Gates - Terry today and very helpful as always, but he was very busy, we decided that we'd deal with this on this Mon/Tue and I'd pick up the lamp
2. Went to MB Colindale - parts department are very helpful, the unit comes as one LED lamp, this is where you get stung £25
3. On travelling there and back I learnt that not having a left indicator on the side is a very very bad thing when it comes to roundabouts and lane changes - people just don't see you manoeuvring so decided that I need to get this sorted out ASAP as I have some travel to do
4. Also, remembered the stories about cables breaking due to folding mirrors etc so instead of just jumping in to replace the part it would be valuable to check the car on a Star to check everything else is okay, so perhaps not a DIY job
5. Given the recent good reviews recently about Sapphire Autos I decided to see if they could sort this out for me today.

Ended up at Sapphire since I decided I couldn't wait to be hit at a roundabout and they checked it on the Star checked the wiring etc, it was indeed the lamp which they replaced, cleared the stored errors, and all for a very reasonable fee.

Mercedes Benz Servicing Specialists | Harrow would have no hesitation in using them or recommending them as I would Wayne Gates too by the way.
