I have made an order for my first Mercedes in live, here is a spec:

- 250 Bluetec 7G Automatic
- AMG Line
- Iridium Silver Metallic
- 19'' AMG Mulispoke wheels
- Airmatic with Agility control
- Black Ash Wood trim
- Crystay Grey Leather upholstery
- Premium Package Plus ( Panoramic sunroof, keyless go, Command Online, Memory package, Burmester sound system, ambient lighting )
- Driving Assistance Package ( Blind spot assist, lane assist, distronic plus, pre-safe )
- LED ILS
- Privacy glass
- 360 Camera
- Air balance Package
- Head up display

Ufff... there's a lot but hope that everything. Delivery expected Q1 2015, March probably due to 360 camera delaying it but definitely would like to have it, I am not an ace in parking so would be useful :)

Welcome to the club....... No option of parktronic? or whatever its called?

Tony.

Welcome car sounds packed with toys
Sorry I prefer the W204 but if you buying a new car you want the latest model.

Park Assist, parking sensors and rear camera are standard equipment in AMG line so should be included :)

No i mean the park itself option.

Tony.

Just checked it and yes it is standard in AMG and Sport line and is called: Parktronic with Active Park Assist. However I am not sure how WELL does it work so may end up with 360 camera as a backup solution.

Wow, that's cool. Well done for Merc that is a standard equipment.

Park assist works fine, used it on my W205 about half a dozen times now. Is weird at the outset but unbelievably clever nonetheless.

Mines an AMG Line Premium Plus and I've got a couple of questions I haven't been able to solve yet:

iPhone 5s connects to car ok, but still keeps returning a data not currently available message when trying to access internet and apps etc. Comand is NTG5.

All the user guides also point to Comand having a freeview TV tuner but there are absolutely zero options in the menus for it so I guess it's not available in the uk.

Other than that it's one unbelievable bit of kit, Sport + mode on Agility really does impress for a diesel auto saloon.

I haven't seen any info about TV tuner so I assume is not available in UK, the same as some other options e.g. Active Blind Assist, Steering Assist.
What suspension do you have? How does it drive on motorway and country roads ?

Standard setup, non Airmatic.
Drives absolutely fine in Comfort mode, very similar to my previous W204 C250. In sport or sport +, it's fantastic and the best saloon I've driven. The steering is fantastic and much more direct than the previous model. The front end just does exactly what you tell it to do and the rest follows suit. Almost go kart like, I had a Civic Type R a few years back and it genuinely reminds me if that handling wise.

It's a firmer rude than my 204 but I'm putting that down to the 19" wheels as opposed to the 18"s I had previously. It's by no means too firm or uncomfortable though.

Did you see the Head Up Display before ordering ? My dealer has had some cars delivered with it on but nothing in stock I can look at, lots of comments on the internet about being difficult to see with polarised sun glasses but that is on different makes I can't find anything about the Mercedes version. I know people who love them but also some that say its a distraction, be good to hear from someone who has driven the new Mercedes HUD.

Honestly I haven't seen it by myself. There were problems to even find AMG line with 250 Bluetec where I live and the found one was not equipped with it. I wish dealers have a best equipped versions so would be easy to choose stuff from it.
But I do believe it would be helpful for me. I am usually distracted by looking on sat nav to see which exit take on roundabout or which lane takes. As I know that is shown on HUD so I would have eyes on the road.
Regards visibility I only think it would not be visible when there is a very bright light coming through windscreen, in typical cloudy day or night I think would be perfectly visible.

If its as good as the one on the beamers, you wont regret it.

I have polarised sun glasses, and it doesnt cause any issues.

I've ordered a very similar spec last week, the airmatic was holding up the delivery until Q1, but the dealer contacted MB who advised that they will be fitting from November builds. Thought I'd ticked all the boxes but you seem to have managed a couple more, I've until tuesday before the spec is fixed so I'll add the HUD, I can always switch it off.

Congratulation on your one :thumb:

That was said by my dealer as well, that can be build in November with Airmatic, but if I want 360 camera that will be probably February 2015.

What I really like with UK spec is there's lot equipment packed in Premium and Premium Plus package so just few options left after choosing it and to be honest I think the prices are really fair for extra equipment, and as I know if Mercedes implements something it really works and is not a gimmick.

Now, thats some frustrating news for me,

i ordered my C250 in june, with a lot of options including airmatic, I was initially given a delivery date of end of august, then, I got a call that said the car would be in for production end of august/beginning of September, then in August I was told that airmatic should be available for the end of September /beginning of October,

I really need the car as I sold my other car, if the airmatic is gonna be available for making in November, this means I might not even receive my car this year.

6 months of waiting for a c class is really disappointing

Ordered my company car beginning of August. Bog standard Sport. Delivery in January! What a joke.

I'm sure everyone knows the movement of c class saloon production to South Africa has added 5 weeks to delivery for shipping.

Insignia until then!

Yes that is really something that Mercedes needs to improve. I have really considered a BMW instead, which is guaranteed to be delivered within 3 months, built in Germany and dealers give better discounts for them. But I loved the new C class and I think is perfect car for me and my needs so will give a Mercedes a chance.
