Hi guys,

I recently got my wheels aligned and can see the rear camber is ever so slightly out of the green ideal alignment. I was told this can only be improved by a full replacement (So not necessary until further degradation / Kwik fit plus using hunter alignment system).

Hoping I can prolong the rear camber as long as I can! / So some guidance on the technicalities of this would be great too!

Does anyone know the cost to get this done? (Hours & material cost).

Sorry if duplication of another thread.

One side or both sides ?

How much is it out (degrees) ?

What do you mean by "prolonging" the camber ?

Avoid Kwik Fit at all costs. Frankly I wouldn’t trust them to sit the right way round on a toilet seat.

Ruislip Tyres opposite the Breakspear Crematorium, have a full Hunter set up, and do quite a bit for competition cars, they know their stuff. (They are the only chaps who touch the tyres on all the family cars) - just a jaunt past Heathrow for you.

Wheels In Motion in Chesham are also superb, and can get the adjustable camber bolts for you if you give them your VIN when you book.

failing that can anyone recommend a proper geometry place near Guildford for the OP?

To be fair to Kwik Fit they may not have been issued the correct guidance or completed the lavatorial orientation module of their induction pack.

If the rear camber is not far out or too uneven then I would not worry too much about it. If the inner edge of the tyre starts to wear much faster than the rest of the tyre then I would get it looked at. MB usually do a camber bolt replacement kit to address this but it doesn’t sound like you are ready for that just yet.

Does the 205 c class not have the eccentric rear camber bolts like the earlier models. ?

Genuine question .
