The car is booked in to see the dealer in a few days but I was interested to know if anyone else has similar problems to me?
So first thing is the parking assist has completely stopped working. It doesn't even recognise a parking space of any kind, even the little arrow in the dash has gone.
The last few weeks I have been having random collision warnings, when either passing parked cars or when a car turns into a junction and I drift around it. Problem being the car has on 5 separate occasions applied the brake, to which I nearly sh$t my pants and the car behind nearly hit me.... Leading to a lot of horn beeping and words being exchanged.
There is no logic to the above problem, it's so random and now I'm so nervous to overtake a parked vehicle I now disable the feature on starting the car in the dash settings.
Last week on a trip to Scotland I was leaving a service station after a quick break, and on hard acceleration down the slip road the EML light appeared and stayed on even stopping and turning the ignition on and off numerous times would not reset it. Prior to the light coming on I had travelled 140 miles averaging 57 mile per gallon, driving another 130 miles with the light on saw the mpg fall to 38.
The next day on a drive back home the light just went out and hasn't come back on since. Fuel consumption has improved but for how long I wonder?
So I wondered is any of the above connected? Do I have a rat in the dash eating the wiring? Or is this a software issue?
Will post a vid I have caught on the dash cam of the car warning over a parked truck.
