The car is booked in to see the dealer in a few days but I was interested to know if anyone else has similar problems to me?

So first thing is the parking assist has completely stopped working. It doesn't even recognise a parking space of any kind, even the little arrow in the dash has gone.

The last few weeks I have been having random collision warnings, when either passing parked cars or when a car turns into a junction and I drift around it. Problem being the car has on 5 separate occasions applied the brake, to which I nearly sh$t my pants and the car behind nearly hit me.... Leading to a lot of horn beeping and words being exchanged.

There is no logic to the above problem, it's so random and now I'm so nervous to overtake a parked vehicle I now disable the feature on starting the car in the dash settings.

Last week on a trip to Scotland I was leaving a service station after a quick break, and on hard acceleration down the slip road the EML light appeared and stayed on even stopping and turning the ignition on and off numerous times would not reset it. Prior to the light coming on I had travelled 140 miles averaging 57 mile per gallon, driving another 130 miles with the light on saw the mpg fall to 38.

The next day on a drive back home the light just went out and hasn't come back on since. Fuel consumption has improved but for how long I wonder?

So I wondered is any of the above connected? Do I have a rat in the dash eating the wiring? Or is this a software issue?

Will post a vid I have caught on the dash cam of the car warning over a parked truck.

Not had any issues myself mate.
Had the brake apply once, did think it was a little over zealous TBH, I was coasting around a left turning lorry, but done the same many times since and just got the beeps; so on that one occasion I must have just been a tad too tight for it.

My park assist stopped when I had my tow bar fitted, but a quick re-code and its fine now.

Good luck.

I've not had any issues so far. The collision warning has sometimes indicated as I have passed a vehicle but the brakes were not applied. I did read somewhere, possibly in the handbook but not sure, that it can get itself confused when passing another vehicle. Hope MB get yours sorted quickly.

Got the car back this afternoon.

Apparently a lot of software updates, for a new car the service folder was an inch thick wad of paper!

So all seems ok at the moment but time will tell.

Sunroof mech was re-greased to stop the sqeak.

EML light was a result of a low fuel pressure indication from the sensor?? This came on with mg foot to the floor..... poop fuel maybe or just a glitch? Either way service wasnt bothered by it.

As for the collision system, Command unit and park assist were all updated with new software.

Fingers crossed no more random braking! !

Cool, hope all goes well.
I had an appointment this week but had to cancel, if there is software available I will re-book. There are a few things that could be better IMO. The parking sensors don't start bleeping anywhere near far enough away from an obstruction for one.

And the Garmin is a very poorly implemented system at present.

I hear the dealer can re program the distance at which the parking sensors beep, I like mine on the red.

The courtesy car had the gar in system, it's a bit of a poor after thought. I have the full command which is very good with the exception of reading directions late but I usually have mine muted. On my last c class I had a Becker unit which was brilliant, why Mercedes never stuck with this I don't know.
