W205 Recall

Hi,

I don't know if this is the right place to post this.

I just had a call from the local dealer this week leaving a voicemail that there has been a recall issued for the W205 and I need to call them back to book my car in (its a w205 c250 amg). I haven't had a chance to call them back as I have been quite busy but I wanted to know if anyone else has had a call from their dealer about this recall and what it's about.

I don't think its a steering issue as I had checked with the dealer at that time and they said that my car wasn't affected. I think it was only some w205s made in Germany which had the steering issue. The UK w205s are made in SA.

Mine was recently recalled for the Timing Belt Tensioner. I thought this was for the 220-series engines but perhaps it includes the 250.

I think most of the UK W205 stock is from SA, rest might be from Germany. SA drive on the left hand side of the road so makes sense. Mine was made in SA.

Looks like it must be the w204 and w205 affected? How did you manage to get a free thermo mug?

I got the Thermo Mug too. They said it was for the inconvenience of the recall.

All the recals I've had over the years and I dont even get a decent loan car let alone a gift! :bannana:

Recalled C204 250 diesel, got a clean in and out and a free thermo mug too Mercedes dealership is so much friendlier than audi in my area.
