w208 1998 dashboard lights

Hi all , this is my first post and my first merc as well

been looking through all your posts right back to 2005

and decided to change my cluster lights to the blue leds , took the cluster out and replaced a few bulbs with blue leds , promblem i have is at night i carnt see my dials , i can see the clock , miles and temp and the pointers are lit up blue, and the inner circle of the speedo (kmph) and thats all , the rest is very very dull , tried turning up the brightness and its no different , checked all the bulbs i replaced and there all working , just wondered if you guys had any ideas ?

make sure the LED's are the right way round as they only work one way . just about to do the same to mine , any pointers on cluster removal ?

How did you get on with changing cluster lights? Is it possible to change the colour of the LCD display from orange to blue as well as the dials?

Also, are the dash lights standard twistlock type?
