W208 55 convertible

Hi Alex,

Yep they're rare - it was discussed here a couple of weeks ago :)

I think that car is black?

The spec is not mentioned. all I can see is that it has no parking sensors,, the seats look good for that mileage,, but hard from a photo as many dealers dye them when they are being valeted

No parking sensors is bad news on a CLK cab as the rear view is poor, hence the scrape on the back bumper that I can see.

Also no folding mirrors or Comand, otherwise good spec.

those wheels look very big ..

but good looking car.

and rare too.

looks like it has the standard AMG nappa leather as well .. other 55 208 convertibles discussed on here had the standard leather.

you can retrofit parktronic .. the factory system may be possible but it will be very expensive

Where abouts is the scrape on the back bumper, my eyes aren't that sharp :o

I like that CLK, but the mrs says I would only mess about with the engine the same as my E55:rolleyes:

I'd rather have THIS though, pure class.

Supersprint/Turbo body does it for me everytime, def. worth a banana:bannana:

I think that's a reflection;)

I must admit, that's what I thought. Unless I've missed something I was wondering if gbjeppm had mistaken the reflection for some damage?

On a rare car like that in the £15-20K price bracket, I'd imagine anyone retailing such a car would have any bodywork rectification carried out before offering it for sale?

Those wheels look like copies, no AMG marking from what i can see.

was thinking that too ...

wheels definitely not from factory as 18" was not an option at the time.

I would not want an AMG without real AMG wheels

I think we went over this last time. The wheels are real, they have stamps if you look closely. The lighting conditions seem to make it very difficult to see, although they are definatly there.

I'd be worried to see a real AMG with fake AMG rims!

Are you sure original 18" AMG's did not exist then? If so, these must have replaced the 17" originals?

I'm n ot very with it, but what's that underneath the car?

Looks like gravel
Yes, now I'm a bit more with it, the sun's rays are showing between the trees and that is possibly what is showing underneath the car. Not a barbecued hedgehog after all:o

John
