I think I follow a list of people who have Aircon issues in this nice weather on my 2001 CLK 430, that have just become noticeable.
So got a refill kit put some gas in it, reset the A/C computer, ran through the sensors settings and setting 7 was showing 3 bar last night this morning its showing 0 bar and I must admit there was a hissing sound when running the A/C last night.
So this morning called an A/C specialist
South Wales vehicle air conditioning: Car air conditioning servicing, repair and systems
who said it is most likely the condenser has gone as most Mercs he visits have this fault £420 inc fitting, please throw me your opinions and any recommendations if anyone out knows if this guy is any good.
How easy is it to replace yourself, Europarts has the bits for condenser and dryer for around £130
Jay
