to remove, just hold on the front edge of the base seats and pull upwards,
they are only push fitted - once you have lifted them out you will see the bolts to the rear
back rest part of the seats -
there are 2 bolts at the bottom one on each side and then there is 2 screws behind the cover in the centre arm rest and the final 2 are at the bottom in the middle where the seat belt clips are - then the rear seat will lift up and out.
i think some of the w208 have release buttons right on the corners of the base, like other MBs, but hidden beneath the upholstery. the seat back will be as described
I'm a) interested in just having a look, and b) investigating whether or not I could beef it up a bit. I find the main door speakers tend to "break up" too much when I'm driving with the roof down and the volume up. If I can use a beefier amp or something to give a bit more oomph out of the sub, then maybe I can use a crossover or something to divert a bit of the bass away from the door speakers so they don't fart as much.
I dont really have the cash to go for a full replacement headunit, and amp/speaker system install, although I would like to be able to plug my ipod in.
I've got an Audio 10CD and a 6 disc changer in the boot.
Hi, just bringing back an old thread - looking to access my rear sub which has stopped working.
Got the bottom half of the seat out and the centre bolts but the edge bolts appear to be a different size - do I have the right ones? Also how do you remove the centre cover to access the screws without damaging it?
