I am unfortunately having to put my car up for sale. It is a beautiful machine but due to a change in circumstances I have a large commute each day and need a more economical car.
For sale is my stunning Mercedes CLK 230 Kompressor Avantgarde.
The car has covered 83'000 miles and has full Mercedes-Benz service history up until the last service which was carried out by a well known specialist. This service was the more expensive "B" service costing £300.00
The car has had 3 previous owners, the last owner having the car for 6 years before myself.
This car comes with one of the best engines in the range the 2.3 litre supercharged 200bhp engine. It has a good balance between performance and economy and it also has a very rare 5 speed manual gear box. The colour is deep metallic black with a red and black interior. I think the interior really sets the car off and looks awesome against the black paintwork.
The specification includes, electric seats, electric folding mirrors, remote central locking with alarm and immobiliser, remote boot release, front, passenger, side air bags, traction control, speed limiter, dual climate control, abs and traction control system and adjustable steering wheel. Im sure there are things i have missed off!
To compliment the car I have fitted a a Becker CD head unit which is also compatible with ipod and bluetooth phones for hands free use.
I also fitted 18 inch Carlsson light weight alloy wheels with brand new tyres. The wheels are staggered and wider at the rear. They are in mint condition as i had them professionally refurbished when i bought them. They stand me at £1000 but they really set the car off. I have also fitted Eibach springs so that the wheels look correct and sit nicely in the arches. There is no compromise in the ride but the benifits are improved and safer handling. These were fitted by a specialist with receipts for all of the work. The original springs are included in the sale.
As you can see I am a real motoring enthusiat and have a passion for cars. I am a member of the UK Mercedes-benz forum and i believe this to be the very best example of a CLK. The car drives like new very smooth and totally silent. The interior defies the age of the car, it looks like new. The bodywork is immaculate for the age of the car although they are a few stone chips to the front, but there are no door dents, she does look beautiful. Some CLK's of this era i looked at had rusty arches but this one is totally rust free and has been garaged most of its life.
I always use the best cleaning products and the two bucket method of cleaning to prevent scratches. The car is regularly washed and polished as I am one of those sad people who takes pleasure in the process.
I have also fitted a brand new genuine set of Mercedes mats and a genuine set of Mercedes mud guards now we are coming in to the bad weather.
The car has fully documented Mercedes-Benz service history up until the last service carried out by Delaceys of Huddersfield.I have a vast amount of receipets and MOTS to prove the milage.
The reason for the sale is due to a change in circumstances and I need something more economical. I would prefer a straight sale but i may consider a deal with a A3 TDI sport, Golf GT TDI or a Honda Civic 1.6 Sport etc...
The only bad points of the car is a slight rattle from the heat shield under the centre section of the exhaust and the brakes are due for changing. These should be done before the car is sold. I have the full set of brakes which will be supplied with the car if not.
