w209 speaker sizes

Hi guys,

Does anyone know all the speaker sizes and how many speakers are fitted to a w209 CLK coupe (2003).

Am i right in thinking, as there are 2 speakers in each front door and a tweeter each. I should buy 1 woofer, 1 mid speaker , and 1 tweeter per door?

The front and rear speakers are in the door, as its a coupe and the back of the front door is in the rear. I can't remember the size, but have a feeling the front and rear are different. You also need speaker adapters as they are a custom Mercedes speaker and certain speakers work better than others (clearly!!). Sound can be very much improved with strategically placed Dynamat too.

After researching I believe I need 2 x 6.5 inch components in front and 2 x 5.25 inch coaxials in rear. Total 4 speakers + Tweeters (1 each door)

Can anyone confirm this?

Some sources say both are 6.5 inch and some say rears are smaller. Can anyone shed some light on this? (2003 W209 UK CLK)
