W210 320CDI
Hi recently aquired a 2000 210 320CDI Avantgarde with what I'm told are AMG wheels. Tyres are KUMHO 235/40R18 95Y. The car drives ok but there is excessive wear on the front inside edge Tracking seems ok.
Where else should I be looking? Does anyone have an 'exploded' view of suspension?

Inside edge on front wheels.....

Yup, thats what a W210 does from what I found out. I have met quite a few other people with the same issue on the AMG wheels (not that they should make a difference).

Some owners buy non-directional tyres so they can swap them over to enjoy longer tyre life.

For your sake, I do hope someone on the forum does have a fix.....

my w210 320 cdi is doing this as well, having some bolts replaced which sorts this out are they called drop link bolts? £ 50 fitted having them done wednesday will let you know how it works out

My 210 has amg monoblocks and wore the inside edge of the front tyres to the canvas, had a 4 wheel track done new tyres fitted and so far tyres are wearing exactly flat and even:) google wheels in motion.

4k so far.

Inside edge sounds like a tracking/camber problem.....take car for a 4 wheel alignment. Recommend Wheels in Motion I had similar problem which they sorted for me. They are based in Chesham, Bucks (which happens to be about 5 miles from me but people travel from all over the country to them!)

Sounds like a great idea and something I will get done on the CLK, after I have had the drop links done. Any rough idea on cost for the 4 wheel alignment ?

From memory it cost me aroudn £100. This included around £30 for the purchase and fitting of a "bolt" required to adjust the front suspension.

Worn lower ball joints caused uneven wear on my w210
