W210 instrument cluster crashed

Hi -

I've a W-reg E320 CDi whose instrument cluster has crashed in such a way that all the warning lights are on and none of the guages/speedo/rev counter work. It remains in this state even with the ignition off, key removed, doors locked, etc. The only sign of life is the LIM indicator which flickers faintly.

I've left it overnight with the battery disconnected, plugged it back in this morning, no change.

Anyone any ideas?

Remove the cluster and un plug it for 10 mins.

If that does not work it maybe a new cluster is required. It needs looking at really.
