W210 lighter failure

Hi guys, need help...few days ago I've had my tyre a bit low on air..so I plugged the little air kompressor to the lighter switch...and I've seen few sparks straight away...so ofcourse since then the lighter Is not working...I've checked the fuse box on D/S dashboard and under back seats...but everything is ok...what can be wrong? thanks for help

How about the fuse box under the bonet ahead of the drivers console, or look at the earthing of the lighter.
