have found this forum very usefull. i am a new owner and quiter hands on!

will be looking to repair my parking brake (no longer effective). just inspected it yesterday and surprised at how easy that job will be. thanks to all the info available on this site.

will post the results in a "How to" when i'm done.

The parking brake is not that easy so be carefull!
Mercedes do a nice repair kit with new bolts springs shoes etc for about 30£ if i remember . Take rear disc off and have a look at the shoes first because they dont wear that much ive found, and you may not need to replace them ,just adjust them correctly .

I had my parking brake shoes done recently .. they fit inside the rear discs.

Steve did it for me .. I would never have been able to do it. But it didn't look too difficult. You also need to lift up the rear seats to access the parking brake cables.
