Hi All Car in question is my beloved E320 CDi AvG. I tow a caravan but take care not to overload the towball (75kg MAX). A couple of years ago I noticed the suspension had gone hard, very crashy from the back. Following advice from this forum I noticed the fluid level in the reservoir had dropped so replaced the spheres. Magic carpet ride restored but still have a thump from the rear over bumps. I renewed the ram top mounts as there was a surprising amount of free play but no improvement. Subframe front bushes also replaced but still this annoying noise persists. Using a pry bar shows no movement in any bush and disconnecting the anti roll bar links does not help. I have heard rumours that it could be the rams, expensive, but but if thats what it takes.........
Also can anyone tell me the correct ride height for the rear?
