w211 2003 Ball joint replacement

I'm a recent owner of a 2003 w211 with 35K miles on the clock. I've been informed by a trustworthy mechanic that both front Ball joints need to be replaced and that its a common fault. I will be able to get them replaced under warranty.

My question is, will they go again after another 35K miles or will/can they use a more recent redesigned part from the newer w211's?

They will go again, they are a wear part. Unfortunately hte newer ones wear quite a bit quicker than older generation cars used to.
