W211 Audio Upgrade problems

I have just replaced the Audio 20 CD in an 04 W211 estate with a JVC double din unit with freeview box into the aux, pleased with the job but have a few problems,
1..after unplugging the old unit the electric door underneath has stopped working, I assume it gets a signal from the head unit, this is no big deal as I can live without it but would like it back if it is possible.
2...the aerial signal has weakened since the install, I guess the aerial amp also gets a signal to power up from the old unit, the FM is weak and the AM is none existent, is there a way to get the amp working or do I need to fit an after market aerial and wire it all the way to the radio cutting out all the factory kit, thanks

I have the solution to this now if anyone needs it.

The raido amp gets powered by the rear SAM , there is a blue wire running down the left side of the car with a white connector located in the wire guttering at the back seat , this activates the rear SAM to power the raido part of the amp , the amp also is used for the central locking signal , this function is powered seprate .

Hi timskemp,
I've looked into the problem, and the blue wire in the cable run rear near side needs a 12v feed, I have fed it one from the electric aerial output of my Kenwood DVD/SAT NAV,
I now get all channels with ease
its a single blue wire with a white plug

That should be easy then - I've got my blue power cable running through there to get to the amp in the boot....

I'll take a look when I have a spare hour!

Thanks
