w211 e320 cdi 2004 P2359

Hi not mine but a friends 2004 e320 cdi I6, Had code p2359 come on whilst at WOT just before it changed up to the next gear.

Car went into limp mode, he pulled over reset the and cleared the code car drives fine but he didnt drive it hard afterwards.

Any idea's what the problem is?

A quick search in google points towards Boost pressure too low/high.

Best get it checked with STAR.

Well since the mpg wasn't great and similar issues to his c220, he has replaced the Air flow meter with a Bosch unit.

Mpg now vastly improved and no more boost cut. Thanks for everyone's help problem sorted lol

44mpg, over the same distance/route id be getting 52mpg my car had a new Maf 25k ago.

After the Airflow meter was fitted it was 56mpg, the car is the I6 cdi
