W211 E55 looks MINT!

I think that its a lot of money IMO, ok its a nice spec + low miles etc but its had 4 owners?

and is that car really worth 6k more than I sold my old one for which was an imaculate 2003 car with 50k on the clock and only 2 owners inc me

I think it is. 03 models range from 15 to 20k and there is a few currently for sale. How many 05/55 with a top spec below 40k miles?

Nice spec, not the greatest. I love the interior. The price is a bit high though.

its one of the few times where I will say I'd like to see it go for less.

Also true, but, a "nice" CLS is still over 30k, I believe a member here just bought one that was advertised for 36k if I'm not mistaken.

Whats not "nice" about that CLS?

36k is id say not far off top money for a CLS55 and into CLS63 money

Bishy, no offence, it has less miles, better spec, 2 years newer, also will be a MY2005 build which has the updated electrics, suspension, radiator etc etc... worth the money, it is top end i agree, but try finding the same for less, youd struggle!

owners does not matter really on a car like that.

Point taken however 6k is a lot of money, too me anyway and I would have the CLS55 over that E55 at that money as over all the CLS is the better car.

^^ :confused::confused:

Any CLS55 at 23k will be an early car with high mileage and/or undesirable spec and many will junk. So, All the "nice" cars will be around 30k.

Of course you may get lucky an find one that's nice and cheap.

...not really sure why you are arguing and your points dont seam valid TBO and I bored now

I'm discussing a point, NOT arguing. LOL

Oh yeah, the above example is great!! I wonder how many enthusiasts here would choose your example over mine...

You just don't get it.

END of discussion!

Owners does to me I had the choice of a 5 owner 2004 plate E55 with 45k on the clock and pretty much fully loaded or a one owner 03 plate mid spec car with 48k on the clock and I chose the one owner car with tons of history and saved myself over 3k on the other car.

But thats just me

Not quite, lets get this right...you posted up a car for people to "discuss" on this forum.

I agree that it looks like a nice car but IMO and couple of other people it could be a little cheaper.

I then said for around that sort of money 23k ish that it was just coming into CLS55 money of which I posted an example, which personaly I would go for over the E55 you posted as the CLS is the better drivers car although im sure you will try and tell me different

You then said that an early (05 plate) CLS 55 and a high miles CLS for under 30k would jbe Junk :dk:

How you can honestly say that a 5 year old Mercedes CLS with 50k on the clock would be junk is beond me and hardly makes your "point" credible

Oh and I do "get it"..............If you dont want people to disagre with your post then dont bother making them ;) lol

I'd take the black W211 E55 AMG over that that silver CLS anyday just for the interior and lower milage and it just looks in better condition!

however I would take that CLS AMG over the w211 but that cls is £7k more...
Craignairn Cars Limited : MERCEDES-BENZ CLS CLS55 4DR AUTO TOTAL SPEC

It's nice having a low owner car, i'm only the 2nd owner on my w211 which I think will help when I eventually get to sell the car!

saw the same interior on a couple that was for sale when I was looking for my old one but one was with that gold-ish paintwork that merc call silver?

Dont no how you can tell if one is in better condition from the other mind from such small and low res pictures? I had a chap e-mail me high res pics of one E55 before I veiwed which looked mint even in the high res pics, drive to London and back (5 hour round trip) proved that it wasnt paintwork was scratched to hell and the seats we're badly scuffed front and rear!. So the only way to tell is to view.

Just shame most sellers are not honest, would save us all a lot of time and hastle eh  lol

I then said for around that sort of money 23k ish that it was just coming into CLS55 money of which I posted an example, (My example is a rare car. Yours is just a normal CLS55, there are so many more out there. Price in comparison is irrelevant.) which personaly I would go for over the E55 you posted as the CLS (not many enthusiast would) is the better drivers car although im sure you will try and tell me different. (No, I'm not)

"Any CLS55 at 23k will be an early car with high mileage and/or undesirable spec and many will be junk". This is what I said. You clearly don't understand!

How you can honestly say that a 5 year old Mercedes CLS with 50k on the clock would be junk is beond me and hardly makes your "point" credible. I clearly never said this.

Oh and I do "get it"..............If you dont want people to disagre with your post then dont bother making them ;) lol[/QUOTE (Idiotic statement!)

Exactly. Thank you!

^^^Guns at dawn^^^
Keep your toys in the pram boys.....

The car is stunning looking, i must admit liking the interior too.

Prefer the Black E55 myself (just slightly biased) as its looks in very good condition. Not sure bout the red interior though. I love the CLS but the lack of a 3rd seat in the back is a problem for me.

You need to spend about 30k for a good CLS.

Nice cars cost more. Why would anyone sell one of the best examples (spec, mileage, condition etc) for the price of the cheaper, tattier, higher mileage/more used cars (?)

Occasionally, bargains appear but they are the exception to the rule.

Most that are cheaper are so for a reason.

I agree with lopes and the others, an enthusiast knows all of this and is willing to pay a little more in percentage terms to secure a great car as opposed to an average one.

Will
