W211 E55 Performance Package?

I will soon pull the trigger on a 2004 E55 AMG with a factory performance package. Code O99 in the specification list.

I understand that this package is ultra rare on the E55 and that it contains LSD (30%), speed limiter 300km/h, another programming of the gearbox (hold function), alcantara steering wheel inlays.

Is there a suspension reprogramming involved as well?

How many were made approx.?

I have seen one for sale before and i know that one member here claims that he has one as well.

Hi, yes it's a rare option, LSD, speed limiter and gearbox adaptation were each separate options , it was never sold as a whole package.

Not many of theses options about, look forward to seeing the pics.

As far as I know, no changes in suspension.

Ok. I referred to you in my first post.

How can i be sure if there is a LSD mounted?

I know that the car has alcantara steeringwheel, the 300km/h limit and the code O99.

Hi,

any one of those options will give you a code 099 on the Datacard.

alcantara was an option, how do you know it is delimited?

gearbox upgrade will have a extra little switch near the selector, looks like a home made switch but its a proper Mb one.

LSD you can only really tell by driving it properly as from the outside it will look the same.

i had the original reciepts so i knew the options mine had put on.

if it has got all the 099 options its a good find

I think with a lsd if you jack the car up and rotate one wheel at the back with a lsd the other back wheel will rotate in the same direction , with out lsd it will due to the diff travel in the opposite direction .

And you would know that Alps already has the option, it must still hold the record for higest spec E55 in the country.

It wont be long before we hear he has retrofitted a different sound system, I understand from him there is a little known option that was an upgrade to the HK system at a less than reasonable price

just cannot help wondering if its a new CD loader in the form of a kidnapped skimily dress young lady stuffed into his boot!!! with activated voice command change! "NEXT ONE"! I wonder what MB code this fitment is???
Have said it before, but that lad has something going on at this Trax event, and I aim to get to the bottom of it., just how are you getting away with all this Alps, year in year out,
