W211 grill

Just got back for a very sunny lunchtime wander, during which I spied a vehicle I did not recognise at first glance.

It was a W211 Avantgarde (Silver, I regret to say) but with a flush bonnet star badge and an SL style grill. That looked good, although with the polished alloys & blacked out windows it was possibly tending towards the Ali G school of flash.

Where can you get the grills?

If youre selling the W211 Avantgarde grill , i would be interested if the price and condition was right.

I've yet to see a after market grill for the W211 which looks good, I'd be interested to see any pics you find.

Popular in the US - gets mixed feedback - need to watch the quality - some have fitted and reverted back to original equipment.

I did the same recently with a phone cover - the replacements just ain't the same.

Lovely wheels though - do you think they are the Brabus ones (monoblock IV?

No, none of the ones in the pics. The one I saw today was much more sculpted, so that the area behind the star had a shaped tunnel effect, rather like the SLR now I come to think of it.

Maybe a custom job.

Certainly looks like it. Fancy some of the other bits as well although a few seem well OTT.

But at £552 for the W211 CL style grill, perhaps not!
