Hi I have a 2007 e220cdi, its an executive with 16" wheels and the comfort suspension. I would like some bigger wheels, it also sits too high for me and I find the ride too soft and bouncy.

All four tyres are due to be replaced soon so ive been looking around at 18" wheels and tyres, there seem to be quite a few sets on ebay both replica and genuine so getting the right wheels should not be a problem.

My main issue is the suspension, if I fit 18" wheels the car will look wrong with the standard suspension so I will need to lower it. Im not sure what is the best route to go down or what is possible.

I was wondering if I could buy the springs and shocks from a sport model with 18" wheels to lower the car about 15mm or if I should buy aftermarket lowering springs eg eibach pro kit lowering the car by approx 30mm. I am also not sure if I can fit aftermarket lowering springs to my standard shocks or if I would have to replace the shocks as well.

Any advice or ideas would be a great help, thanks Marley

if its got air suspension then lowering links of lower by STAR, else use lowering springs

It's not got air suspension just regular springs but it's a higher set up than the avantegarde or sport models
