W211 satnav drive

Hi guys

I have a faulty w211 Satnav drive where it is not reading the disc, displays a message saying loading disc but nothing happens. I've sent it off for repair who have said Becker no longer supply the part which is faulty.

My question is are these drives universal? Can I buy a second hand unit and fit it to my car? Thanks

You can buy a 2nd hand unit but it would need to be the same part number. Comand online sometimes have them at a price, but EBay would be your best bet.
