Found by accident how to activate it displayed in the odometer, not sure whether I have to keep it in gear. In neutral it does not work. Sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't. Have to press the brake pedal to deactivate it. If I don't do that, pressing the accelerator give it a surge.

Where can I read more about it?

In the user manual! -- it has 2 modes one SBC-H where it holds the brakes with a "firm" press of the pedal and SBC-S which automatically applies the brakes when you take your foot off the accelerator. The braking gets progressively harder the slower you go. To activate this feature when SBC-H is active push the cruse control lever up to disengage just push the CC lever forward. I use hold all the time but rarely SBC-S

hope this helps

SBC-S? I don't even know it exits.
Page 72 of the manual does say anything about SBC-H nor SBC-S.

SBC-S was discontinued due to unreliability, it only lasted for a few months, so new cars do not have it.

Yes it does in the manual page 232.

I tried the SBC S, no it doesnt work, I get cruise control instead. They must have removed it for mid 2005 model.
