229.52 is backwards compatible with 229.51, 229.31 and 228.51. I'm guessing, but suspect, that a 2010 diesel car would have been listed for 238.51or 229.31 oil, so yes, 229.52 is okay.
You cannot use (well, you can, but shouldn't) 229.3, 229.5 etc. as they're for petrol engines and are not suitable for diesels. If you're in any doubt, you can email the seller for confirmation but I think MB dealers only stock 229.52 now in any event.
