Agree, I would too at 31k. No expense sparedI'd still change the ATF every 31k miles even if its not in the service schedule.
Yep. Remember the "sealed for life" claim?Agree, I would too at 31k. No expense spared
Erm.....that seems a bit excessive! Maybe just change the oils next time....it's way cheaper....When you read the schedule, the gearbox is changed at 3 years, not every 3 years.
If it has a LSD, that is changed every 3 years.
ATF and rear diff refills are not expensive if you use an indy.Yep. Remember the "sealed for life" claim?
As you point out, FMBSH does not mean that everything was done. Issue is, even when 'added extras' as you put it have actually been done, these do not always get added to the electronic service history by the garage.1 thing to look out for is just because its FMBSH it doesn't mean everything was done
Eg if it went in for a B service and say the plugs needed changing the owner could say no dont do them as im selling etc but it would still have FMBSH it's the added extras which I look out for and me personally wouldn't buy an AMG without full history or cheap tyre's
This is correct, although the dealers should still keep electronic records of the same showing what’s been done (not the DSB, but logs of the dealer visits). So if you needed to know at some point if something was done they could check without revealing anyone’s personal dataIf you buy from a dealer chances are you won't get all the supporting paperwork because anything with a name or address etc has to either crossed out with a marker pen or more commonly not passed on because of gdpr
Just checked the dealer history. The car is a December 2015 car, digital print shows in November 2020 at 42k the ATF was changed. Assume it's a time based oil change and not mileage? My 1st 1 looking at the paperwork was 4 year's
