W212 Rear Coil Spring Snapped / Broke Replacement

Did one of the springs today but got called away so couldn't manage them all.

Few things of note.
The WIS for the W212 says to just use the Telescopic Spring Compressor to remove the spring.
Struggled to get enough clearance and the tool would foul on the top of the chassis.
After messing for a bit decided to just do the same as for the W211.

1. Compress the spring.
2. Remove the shock lower bolt
3. Remove the drop link lower bolt.
4. Loosen front bolt spring arm to wheel carrier.
5. Remove rear bolt spring arm to subframe while support arm on jack and lower.

For the sake of 4 bolts seemed much simpler rather than struggling with the limited space and the tool.

Bottom shim was almost rotten through!

Did the other 3 springs today.
About an hour for 1 spring, then maybe 2~3 hours for the other 2 on the other car.
Removed the spring arms on this one though, cleaned, treated and coated these in any rust areas.

Important to remember to get the car hub back loaded (on ground) before tightening up the bolts for the spring arm.
If the arm is tightened at the wrong angle the arm will clamp the bush then when loaded will then twist the bush. Idea is it is tightened level then the bush twists as it goes up down over bumps.
