Mercedes Benz CL500 (W215)
My new toy (W215) has badges on the interior that claim it is an AMG edition. I didn't buy it on the strength of those (just wanted a CL500 or a CLK500 - and couldn't find a CLK at the price I wanted), but curious to know whether this is genuinely a thing, or just an over enthusiastic previous owner getting carried away with badges (it seems to have some extra V8 badges on the front wings too, which lead me to think it might just be a little "badge engineering" lol)

Assuming they shouldn't be there, what's the best way to remove them without damaging anything?

Not genuine.

Use a hairdrier and fishing line to remove the V8 badges. the others...don't know.

It's a special edition all right, but from AffalteBaybach...

Heat should soften the adhesive so you can remove them.

I've heard of Affaltervach but not of Affalterbach?

Maybe Florian Brader was having an off day? :dk:

Or his alter ego Wun Hung Lo in a little backstreet factory in Shenzhen...
Reminds me of the infamous broadcast of a (unfortunately true) aircraft crash when the American reporter for KTVU reported the pilots names as ........
"Bay Area news station KTVU just reported that the pilots of Asiana's disastrous flight 214 were the crack team of "Sum Ting Wong," "Wi Tu Lo," "Ho Lee Fuk," and "Bang Ding Ow."

No such thing! The V8 badge is from a Ford Explorer :)
