W219 amp or no amp?

Hi,
I want to change my head unit for something more upto date... How do I tell if my CLS has got an amp? As if it has it looks like it will need to be bypassed..
Any help or prior knowledge of doing this appreciated.

You haven't said what unit you currently have fitted or given any indication of year.

Hi, sorry..it's a 2006 and decoder just says "COMAND DVD APS WITH NAVIGATION".

So a NTG2.5 - all in the one unit. There are Chinese android equivalents.

If you are unhappy with the sound then a major improvement can be had by upgrading the rubbish speakers and adding some sound deadening around the car.

If you want wizzy new features then you need the Chinese units.
