What tyres and pressures are owners running on their CLS55s?

if I had 19", I would be fitting Michelin Pilot Super Sport. I have these on the GT3, amazing tyres.

on my 18", I have been very happy with Conti Sport Contact 3 101Y MO .. they did very well on trips to Brittany and Norway. Driven hard, lasted 10k miles. Driven less hard, nearly 14k miles.

Pirelli Zero run at the pressure stipulated on the fuel flap

What pressures are in your filler cap? The performance package came with different tyres and just wondering if the pressures are the same (on 19s).

No tyre sizes stipulated only summer/winter and car loading.

I run my 18"s at 36 front, 38 rear and wear is even across the width of the tyres. Rears need changing soon after 8k miles. Fronts are fine :)

Do we take it you've finally got the car?

Just checked and no mention of tyre size on mine either and it came with factory 19s, says 36/38 same as WNs above, 38/41 with a load on.

Tyre sizes are same as PP fitment.

Yes though it's going back tomorrow :wallbash:.

Sizes are the same, load and speed rating aren't. Mine has a supplementary 300km/h AMG sticker for tyre pressures 3.0 bar front, 3.2 bar rear. I'll try dropping the pressures as this seems very high for daily driving.

Tell us more, any pics as never seen a UK one.

That sounds like it's just meant for v-max runs as you're limited to 186mph. Is yours still running OEM tyres?

I'll get some photos up at the weekend when it's back. Just had a fun journey - o/s/f TPMS valve started leaking so had to stop every 2 miles to re-inflate.

Not on original tyres anymore - Goodyear Eagle F1 rear and Michelin PS3 front.

Jeez, you weren't kidding they're high, 3.2 is 46psi which is just silly for normal driving. Are those replacement tyres actually high load ones? I've got RE050As all round but not sure which version.

Might make sense for vmax runs but odd they stuck it over the top of the normal one.

Forgot these are supposed to have tpms, haven't looked for it yet on mine.

Replacements are extra load - I think all tyres in this size have a Y rating anyway? TPMS had to be ordered with the Performance Pack (not sure why they didn't include it if it were a requirement).
