Electronic power control visit workshop appeared on the screen, the car drove faultlessly all the way home and dare i say i booted it and it even felt a lot quicker then normal? any ideas or suggestions?
Thanks. Also i seem to remember when i switched the engine off to go in the shop it seemed to take a while to stop after i switched off, hope this helps a little

does the warning come back now the car has been switched off overnight?

On my 7 series, i occasionally got strange messages appearing. Sometimes they went away and never came back!!

It means there is a problem with the engine. The main culprits are the fuel pressure sensors or somthing to do with the fuel system. Get the codes read first.

just an update to this, took the car for star diagnose to my local indy,£20 quid to plug it in, BARGAIN, result 8 pages of stored faults, virtually every system on the car brought a code up, OH S--T i thought here we go, any way faults all erased and a roadtest to see what reappears, low fuel pressure sensor not closing, bought a new sensor, fitted and hey presto cars a goodun again. seems like the car has never had a star diagnose for years and just kept storing faults that have been fixed and not cleared?

Where did you go for this Chris? My S320 has had two of these El Power Control things in the last month or so...

A.M.G. in Hyde, Tameside. They are on Broadway Ind estate. All ex Merc Technicians, very friendly and Knowledgeable. i will de3f use them all the time now.
