Have just got a quote from Inschape £ 904.46 and they don't say if that is with vat !!

Original sils are stainless steel, many after market are alli and mark quite easily

I had them put on the 220 they where fine and then on the C43 which started off OK then i had some trouble with them had them fixed and are fine now.

No i won't have them on the SClass, i think the clue is that MB don't have them as an option anymore.
