Good Evening!

Got left some money from my nan and today purchased a 2017 plate sports tourer Vito :)

Only thing I’m not all that keen on with it is the radio! Is there any headunit/radio anyone can recommend ideally Apple car play? But will still allow all the steering controls to work and allow the vans features to still work? Will it impact on parking sensors? Parking camera? Park assist? Lane assist? Any of those kinda things don’t wanna loose functions really but really wanna upgrade the radio.

Any thoughts or advice much appreciated :)

Speak to command online, I am sure they can help

Not sure on all the lane assist features tbh, although they should still be accessible through the instrument display menus I would assume?

oe Reverse camera may not work so will need replacing although I think it might depend on if yours is a newer Mercedes HD unit.

Choose your head unit carefully and try and get a demo. The pioneer unit I have is great but it is painfully slow and laggy and kinda wished I went with the Kenwood.
In all honesty, if the audio 30 wasn’t so bloody bright at night I would have kept it and just had a speaker and amp upgrade.
There is also an adapter harness needed to keep the steering controls working, and most of them will change the mute button function to a source button.

Shark fin is a must I would say but again, depends on the area and how good your oe ones are.

There is also a mod for the sos light/system which I posted a link to earlier in the thread I think which is fairly easy to do.

Speaker wise, there are virtually none that will have a kit that includes a tweeter that will fit in the oe locations as the oe dash location is small although I found Audison APK165 kit fits.

A small amp will bolt to the chassis behind the lower dash panel opposite the middle seat but it’s a pain to get off for the first time!

There is a video on YouTube somewhere I think that demonstrates how to do it.

Good luck!

I have a Pioneer Avic-920 with a proper install job. Shark fin for DAB GPS AM FM, bit of pain to fit but reception is first class. Rear camera and speaker upgrade with plenty of acoustic matting in the doors. At the time of purchase the Pioneer was considered to be one of the best on the market.

Yeah I’ve always had pioneer but had chosen the Kenwood but when I got there and saw how sleek the pioneer unit was with no buttons I went for it.

Very disappointing tbh but I’ll live with it for now.

It’s the EVO64dab
