hi, ive been convinced of a faster than normail drain and had it confirmed this week. theres a 200mah drain dropping to 50mah when fuse 2 & 3 steering lock & instrument cluster are pulled.

2 Electric steering lock ESTL (electronic ignition switch EIS) 25A
3 Electronic ignition switch EIS 10A

ive noticed on the very odd occasion the dash warning lights blinking i think on turning ignition off... which fits in with fuse 3 instrument cluster?

any ideas where to start to look for a fix? does it sound loose wire?

Hi,
I wouldn't have thought it was a loose wire, more likely a component on the circuits you have pulled which is failing.
Out of 2 & 3 which has the highest current draw? Whats the Ah rating of your battery? I'm no sprinter expert or Merc expert for that matter but will help where I can.

Thanks for the input, it wasn’t me who diagnosed the fuse 2&3 as the likely circuits for the drain so I’m unsure which is higher. I put a new 100ah battery in in January. Im going to to see if the alarm works with those fuses pulled see if that’s the cause
