WANTED! 190 2.3 16v

im in love with this car! now all i need is to get my hands on one...!!

preferably in black, but wouldnt mind grey or silver, white/red isnt an option tho (not a big fan), in as good condition as possible, but like the description says, anything will be considered! dont mind rust, as long as the car has a long mot and a bit of tax (so i can drive it for a while)... dents/scratches are accepted.... BASICALLY anything that requires tlc would be great!

not bothered about condition of interior...

engine must be as mint as possible, as im not much of a mechanic, and i dont want to spend huge amounts on getting it going having had it break down...

MUST have some service history...

the merc on ebay looks very VERY interesting!, if everything is as he says it is, then i am very tempted.... still, my only issue with that is that he live 243 miles away! ! and its a c reg... which is 1986? (i think??! dont quote me on that!) tho, i will keep an eye on it, ill email him to get some more details on it, and hopefully a load more pics.. you never, this could be the one ...!

oh and neillr, as much as id luv a 2-5, i want a 2-3, and yes i got the email/pics! (insurance will only let me have the 2-3, the 2-5 is 21yrs and over car! ) thnx anyway, and goodluck with selling the car...

That eBay cossie looks pretty tatty/trashed IMHO.

Could be wrong though - ask the seller for details of service history or at the very least receipts for parts/work completed.

Perhaps ask him when the timing chain was replaced, and when the valve clearances were last checked/adjusted.

It's an early one, so ask if it has had the replacement manifold with strengthening - the early ones crack and cost four figures just for the part.

You can very easily spot the casual owners who have not bothered to look after a car properly.
