Wanted CLS 55 AMG

Front seat are ventilated (not cooled) using cabin air, not from the a/c.

Not an option I would bother will, bit like being breathed on by an asthmatic mouse....

My seats are Comfort and Dynamic definitely worth while IMHO :)

As above.

It's a discreet feature, but contrary to popular belief they do make a difference on hot days :)

Although not directly fed from the air con, there's lots of small fans built into the seat backrest and seat base. The lower fans for the base will draw in from under the seat pretty close to the climate ducts/outlet, and the ones for the backrest through the louvred panels you see in the photo.

So technically although not 'cooled', the air they draw in is somewhat regulated and it does help to stop sweaty clothing on hot days, and perhaps even to warm up the seats more quickly on a cold day!

I think the problem is, people expect air to come shooting out and be ice cold, which although would help to demonstrate the function probably wouldn't be comfortable on long journeys?

Vents are on the seats whether you have the 'cooling' or not though.

As an aside, the Yukon XL we had in California earlier this year had proper AC in the seats which was great as we were there during the heatwaves, a sporty 122 in Death Valley.

That really did work but had the amusing side effect of blowing the hot air out the back of the seats onto the rear passengers lap and feet :)

No vents on my seats either...

I'll take that back then, perhaps mine had them changed at some point, can't think of any reason why, or just got the wrong ones in the factory.

Speaking of which, a V70 I ordered many moons ago with optional aluminium trim turned up with aluminium in the front and walnut in the back!

No vents and no self-respect! Who puts a car up for sale without giving it a hoover at least and fixing the damn floor mat!? ;)

All but one of the CLS55s currently up that I'm looking at do not have the seat vents. I think from memory only that one has cooled seats as it's quite rare too ..
