WANTED: S211 7 seater

We're looking for a new family car, missed out on two that were advertised so I thought I'd try a different tack.

Ideal spec.
- Not black or light silver exterior
- Must have light coloured interior
- Has to have 7 seats
- memory seats a big plus
- we'd love HK audio, but not essential

Good luck with the search, Dave. Make sure you check underneath anything that can corrode or rust (including sub frame)!! I've just had to replace my radiator due to corroded pipes/joints, and I need to replace all the front brake pipes and have exhaust mounts and brackets welded, but they ran out of time on what was meant to be a routine service. I'm working away now, so my first jobs when I get back. You could run into another couple of £k if you're not careful!

Mercedes-Benz E Class 3.2 E320 Avantgarde 5dr

Its an April 04 320 petrol in silver with grey interior.
It has airmatic, harman kardon audio upgrade, memory seats, 4 zone heating, comand, a visseo module and loads of other bits and bobs. Very well looked after and everything working as far as I can tell.

I drove it loaded with family from Surrey to Yorkshire last night and it was a sublime drive. Wonderful car for circa £3.5k

Need to decide over the next couple of weeks if its a keeper and then work on selling my 124 - that will be a wrench!

Cheers Ray, I re-read your 211 article in the tech section of the club's site before taking the plunge.

The value is an interesting bit. Right now, the advert says £2.2k. The one I responded to said £3950.00 and I paid something less but rather closer to that.

I'm not sure why the vendor has done that, do auto-trader charge a percentage of the sale price?

S211 with that engine and spec is brill. Myn is full spec and irreplaceable even though it's worth less than the tyres on the 63.
