Wanted W201 or W124

Hi Guys and Girls,

I am looking for a well looked after W201 or W124.
First choice is low mileage W201 2.0L auto in Light Metallic Blue (DB356) I am just sucker for old school Mercedes
However I will not pass by a good W124 saloon in dark blue. I will even consider estate. I am open to any colors but obviously Blue is my first choice.

Extensive service history is essential. Mercedes crazy owner is a must
I am in Edinburgh but willing to travel for the right car.
Come on chaps, you have one or you know someone that own one.

No idea what it's worth.
It's a long way to Essex.

i also have one of the last e300 diesel 24v multi valve, with mbz plate worth 2.5k, included whole thing with 12 months tax and mot for £3, 116k miles alas the previous owner misplaced history it is dark blue and 7 seater grey interior cloth, has battle scars, but if it was mint and documented u will be looking at double the amount.

It's not blue or a 2.0l but this 190 is truly a timewarp car and has only 12900 miles on the clock !

Thank you for posting this link, however I never understood what is the appeal to advertise the fact that the Med Kit is still the "Original" one??? Do you want to use a medical supplies 32 years old? How about the following sentence:
"It has original tyres on rear and fronts were only replaced due to a puncture"....really? The same 32 years old tires? Interesting selling point is:" large capacity fuel tank"....never knew that one they were making 2.6 L with a bigger tank???? Or the picture of the exhaust....he should have rubbed down the markings from the scrap yard....This is NOT 32 years old exhaust
I would love to see the state of some "internals" of this car....12 900 miles only, all the rubber components who are lubricated during the car usage are left bone dry, I bet you bottom dollar that as soon as you start driving the leaks will start showing any place imaginable.
The flex d i s k on the drive shaft must be so hard after 32 years that it will probably tear itself apart and you can drop the shaft on M6 for example doing 75MPH .......
I am sure you get my drift.
I would not even consider looking any deeper at this car.
Perhaps I am "newbie" here on this forum but I have been driving Mercedes for the last 24 years....

Not all 2.6's came with the 70l tank. Mine had the smaller 55l.

Ops...my bad. You are correct 22 years, so perhaps the Med Kit and the tires are good then
