Sweet car looking forward to seeing the progress :)

You have quite an act to follow considering the phenomenal amount of hard work that's gone into the interior upgrades!!

Glad to hear it. The stains on that concrete floor make it far from show-worthy. Could you move that car so we can see the rest of it? :thumb:

Seriously - looking forward to it. I particularly like interior projects as it's much harder to appreciate the exterior improvement in photos. It needs real light and movement to appreciate a deep shine.

No this picture was just after it had a 2 hour clean as its done monthley but will be in for a full 2 piece wheel refurb, crystal wheel laquer, full paint correction, full interior detail etc. just to bring it together as it is a very tidy example.

Is "restoration" perhaps not a bit strong a word to use, what does it need, welding, painting, new interior?

Restoration in the sense of restoring the paintwork and/or interior to showroom condition (or better).

Seems to be fairly standard usage in the detailing sector. The company that did mine a while back specialised in "paintwork restoration".

I know...

I do apoligise for the term to be to strong in your oppinion. Its like saying restoring leather. As this is what I would be doing in the line of detailing as said above. Its really because the car is looking a little tired so will be restored to as new as the condition will take me. But im pretty sure the paint will be better to when it left MB.

I have been part of proper restorations before on classic ferrari's and i know for a fact that without my kind of work, you will not make as much money on that car at auction. Buyers know what there loooking for in originality as well as racing history etc. But if that car doesnt sparkle it does loose it's wow factor. Its like a couple of companies (I can not name for legal reasons) who were at top marques in monaco last year. They had trouble selling there custom super and hyper cars because the paintwork and overall cleanleness had been put to the back of the line.

Don`t see much wrong for it to have a spray job :D

Good looking wheels Richard.

I'm now half way through the detail, so will have a full write up on it, come sunday. But till then a cheeky shot half way through;)

What kind of product did you use on the tail pipes? I've tried solvol on mine after using a dremmel with brass brush to remove accumulated soot, but they are not great (unlike yours).

Hello

The exhaust on these are way beyond repair too. The soot has baked on so much that if you were to enhance the look of the rear exits you would need to paint the internal side. The outside's are ok but the bottom of all, have cracked completely. The car is no completed, but have no time for a write up just yet. Maybe sunday
