Hi All,

Last week I was out shopping and my Uncle's Kids were travelling with me in the car, they were sitting at the back when suddenly the younger one decided he could'nt hold it any longer and wee-weed on the back seat.

I tried to clean it immediatley but its left bad stain -

Has anyone else had this expierience?

Can someone please tell me how to get rid of the damn stain?

Use a solution of biological washing powder/liquid. Apply from the outside in, starting well beyond the edge of the stain. Rinse with clean water dabbing up as much as you can but try not to overwet anyway. Make sure you use cloths/sponges that are colourfast! or you'll add even more to the stain ;) I find an old light coloured towel best for this kind of thing.

Then when all clean and dry give it a good squirt of Antibacterial Febreze and Bob should be your uncle ;)

An alternative is a spray foam carpet/upholstery cleaner again start beyond the edge of the stain working in.

You might have to do it more than once. It's better to do it several times over, not overwetting but gradually lightening the stain, rather than overwetting as all that does is spread the tide mark wider ;)

Try a little bit of Persil liquid in hot and give it a good soak and rub, then press up any excess leftover with a towel, and there you go...
Smells great, and leaves no stains... Let us know how you get on Sanj

Pammy a little more control is required.

Is it a w202?

If so, before cleaning it, press in the 2 tiny springs on ether front corner to lift out the seat then you can clean them indoors in the warm :)

That's what I'd also do Karl, also probably more likely to dry in the warm inside too ;) :)

Leave it to dry out before you clean it otherwise it will smell like a carpark stairwell

Solution: Get leather/twin leather and no stains and wipes straight off.

PS. If you ever have any back seat "action" with your cloth interior then baby wipes are supposed to be very good and leave no stains behind. ;)

Thanks for the ideas, will give it a go and let you know how I got on!

If it doesn't work, see if you can get him back to wee-wee over the rest of the upholstery and then it will be uniform and you won't notice it.

Edit: Sorry I just got back from the pub

This advice is no doubt from the hallowed tomes of Mister Completely

So why isn't 'uncle' doing the washing up?:D Les

had a leaky phone ariel in my old c180 a few years back, it had the cream classic cloth interior, tried numerous cleners to get rid of water stains but no joy, in the end , took the seat apart, all the metal rods from behind the material seperating from foam and put it in the washing machine, then left it out to dry. put it all back together and it was like new.... one downside is that there is cardboard around the edge which helps keep the material in place this will disintigrate in the wash so you may have to replace...

insist that all children of accident age where nappies or walk

I made a woopsie on the back seat :) :)

Regards,
John
