Car
2003 E55 sedan
Thinking of letting my 2003 E55 W211 112k sedan (silver) go, but need advice on selling price, I don’t want to give it away, but don’t want to overprice then have to come down. The car has no modifications, and has had four previous owners service history up to 96k. The cars interior and exterior are both in good order. Things I’ve done, and had done in the last 3yrs are as follows.
12 months MOT no advisories
Wheels refurbished (SWWR) exeter
New rad/ new condenser
SBC refurbished
Recent discs/Akebono pads on front
All four calipers overhauled and painted
Rear subframe bushes/ rear trunions
Pretty much all front suspension components replaced.
Both airmatic front struts (bilstein)
Transmission service (new pan)
Diff seal
Rear arches sorted
New injectors, plugs, coil packs and wires.
Oil and filters changes at 5k by myself
Both valve cover gaskets.
Goodyear F1 Asymetric5 all round (good tread) front and rear batteries (merc)
Several spares, old coils, air struts etc.
work done previously, water pump 93k
Rear bags 67k. All paperwork for parts and work done are filed and hidden from my wife. All comments and advice would be valued and appreciated.

Good shout, I’ll take some pics when I get chance to give her a wash, then try to work out how to transfer from iPhone on to here.

You can use this website:

Thant you, I’ll attemp to get some more up to date shots when I get a chance. I bought the car from a members father in 2020, there are pics of car and info available from 29/09/2020 stephensjason, only differences are wheel arches have been sorted, and different wheels (still original for model, not sure of correct name, but ten spoke, and the more commen ones) I still have original wheels that I also had refurbished)

Pictures and spec would help, I’d say with the mileage and being a saloon probably south of £10k realistically these days unless it’s cleaner than expected or ultra high spec or something :)

I think higher mileage ones start around £6/7k and lower mileage ones a little over £10k, possibly into early teens. From what you’ve described, yours sounds like something in between?

Thanks, that’s very helpful.

I think Will is on the money with those estimates
Considering the work you have done and the fact its up together makes me think £10k or just below.

I gave my 2004 121k mile E55 away nearly 4 years ago for £8250.
I 've since seen worse cars with far more miles with higher asking prices.

In fairness Roger, prices have firmed up slightly since you (and I!) exited the W211 E55 market :thumb:

I think they’re the same money nowadays as they were ~ 10 years ago :)
