What battery is needed for this car please?

Tayna said 019 AGM, but it’s not a stop/start car?

Some forums say a standard 019 Lead Acid will do?

Can any W164 ML owners advise?

It’s in the passenger compartment - under the seat - so an AGM battery is specified for safety reasons

PS Pop it on a battery charger or conditioner - like a CTEK MXS 5.0 or similar - before replacing it though. So many are replaced prematurely.

I suspect the battery charge is likely to be the cause of the three attempts to start issues you describe in your other thread. The solenoid you mentioned sounds more likely but low charge can cause surprising symptoms!
